cheese
I am making an effort to shoot my kids more...
because for some strange reason they think it is cool to grow up
right before my very eyes.
One day Riv is a size 5 in shoes...now he is a 7 and in 3T clothes?
What??
Paige is wearing Smalls in the big girls section at Old Navy and Target?
What??
Where are my little people at?
Merry Christmas peeps...
one more week!
Oh, and good things are coming in January.
Soccer for Miss Paige, and (hopefully) Preschool.
Me finishing my ACE study (hopefully).
Me finishing a half marathon...Jan 30th.
Justin finishing his 100 mile race (in Feb.)...please let it be!
Potty training for Riv...
he is testing out the waters right now with some success...
And hopefully someone will want to come out for a visit sooner than later!
Here's to hoping!

60 degrees difference
3 years ago exactly,
this was my reality.
I thought it was magical and fun.
Three houses and three moves later....
I can tell you that I fully appreciate my 70 degrees in December,
(but I do miss white Christmases when it is 10 degrees out
just a little bit)
and perspective is everything.
I am so incredibly grateful for our years in Washington,
and they were great years....
tough years, yes
cold years, yes
but
they were years full of togetherness
and teamwork
and love.
And I feel like they strengthened my relationship with Justin
as well as the relationship I have with myself in a very unique way.
I am grateful for this Air Force life.
I know it is temporary,
and I will be a Californian once again.
But, Texas is growing on me
and I am happy to be here.
We were blessed to come here right behind one of our favorite families from Fairchild
and that has helped calm my heart, and kept the kids from totally freaking out.
They have their built-in friends, and so do we.
And that is amazing.
Because for some reason, I don't really feel like making new friends yet.
I have incredible friends...
and I don't even have enough time to give to them.
And I love them.
So I am taking a break from making new friends,
and I am cherishing the ones I have,
and I am thanking my lucky stars one of them is here in San Antonio with me.
I am a lucky duck.
3 years ago, she was all I had to worry about...
and now, 3 years later
I may have more worry,
more stress,
more disciplining,
more messes to clean,
more sleepless nights,
more gray hair...
BUT
I have this blessing.
And I know Paige and Justin would agree that he is worth it.

Sea World
We went to Sea World for free on Saturday...
You get to go once a year if you are "military"..
Thank you very much!
Highlights:
Paige LOVING the penguin,
She couldn't get enough of this gal/guy?
Riv was too chicken to get in the picture
For a mere $6, I got to feed this dolphin 5 stinky little fish.
It was SO MUCH FUN!
Paige was too scared
Riv was too scared
Justin let me have a dolphin moment all to myself.
Dolphins are magical I tell you...they really are the coolest!
Just look at that smile!
We will be buying a two-year pass,
very soon,
and feeding many more dolphins,
and cheering on Shamu
(yes, they still do the Killer whale show here!)
If you come see us, we can take you with us,
promise!

here we go
Justin likes to run apparently...
he entered another 100 mile race before we moved,
and it was on Saturday and Sunday.
He made it to mile 75 and bowed out...
He is trying again in February for the 100.
Here he is at mile 30...looking like he only ran a few miles
I look like a tomato after running just 3 miles!
What the heck?!
He is one pretty cool Dad!
We like to swim
A LOT
Texas is cool like that...swimming in November and all,
in a pool that is NOT heated...
wow!
Halloween 2010
We got smart and brought the wagon this year (yeah for us!!!)
Paige was a blond Snow White
She was excited I put make-up on her this year...
a little lip gloss goes a long way with her!
We were kind of lame this year on the costumes...
moving will do that to you I suppose..
Kitty Cats love Jimmy Buffet....right?!
The scary version....BOO!

Washington Wrap-Up
We tried to be patient...
and wait for the photogs to take the "official" shots on picture day,
but they took WAYYYY too long,
and this little shortie was hungry...
So,we went home
and had our own photo shoot at 6:30 at night!
Halloween Jammies at Wal-Mart!
They glow in the dark too!
We packed up...
and cleaned up...
We stressed out...
and moved out.
Riv liked hanging out here...
at least he could keep his eye on this suitcase this way!
We drove for 6 days straight...
I did not take any scenic photos...
not a single one.
SAD
I never want to drive that drive again...
EVER AGAIN.....
I lost my temper way too much...
I argued with the Mr. more than I liked...
BUT
We made it..
safely...
without car trouble (thank you Guardian Angels)...
and without killing each other,
and we still love each other,
and we bought a season pass to the Zoo for $65 (for all 4 of us!),
and we like the fun-house mirrors!
An apartment tour will be up soon...and more pictures too!
Justin is running another 100 mile race tomorrow and Saturday,
so please,
PRAY!
The Blog will get a new name...now that we are no longer in WA...
I will let you know.
Thank you for loving us...
things are a bit crazy right now,
and it is good to know we have good people
who love us
and understand if we don't call right back...
or call at all for now.
Our cell service stinks at our apartment, so bear with us while we are in transition!
XOXOX
