a good week

First, I kind of won something...I follow a blog called The Brightside Project where they give away awesome free stuff everyday (check it out)...and a company they had a giveaway with decided to give away 500 bottles of perfume for free...all you had to do was pay the shipping. So I was one of the first 500 people!!!! And here is my adorable perfume...smells like suntan lotion and flowers!

I also got my Woderbar soap in the mail....and so far I am loving it. The kind ladies at Wonderbar sent me extra samples as a thank you for being in the military...awwww, we appreciate the appreciation :)

Our strawberry plant finally produced something...Paige and I enjoyed one mini berry each! She is so proud she helped to grow something!

River is the new neighborhood watch...he just posts up here and watches the world go by...

His new silly face

Paige learned about transportation at school, and her teacher made a little cardboard car for them to play in....so, naturally she wanted to make one when she got home only hers is a VAN....go figure!

Oh...and Justin had to wear his "blues" to work on Monday! He hates them, but I certainly don't mind!

Chelanman 2009

The results are in and I finished in 1:32. I placed pretty well considering this was my first race.
I came in 11th in my age division (age 25-29) of 44 women, and 56th of 229 total women. I am very happy I finished and had fun......more photos to come!

a simple gift...

If I could buy my Mom a gift today, it would be one of these....a crochet covered sea stone. I think they are possibly the sweetest things I have seen in a while...

Happy Friday

It has been a long week....hope your weekend is fabulous! I have my triathlon on Sunday, so keep me in your thoughts....I am in desperate need of some good vibes! I am sure I will post all about it soon enough.....in the mean time, here is P playing dress up at her friends house. I dig the geek-chic!

An Apple a day...

We have been finding apples in the fruit bowl with little bite marks in them....she apparently sneaks up on the counter and helps herself when nobody is looking. Maybe I will start putting broccoli and peas in the fruit bowl??

9 months out!

I made myself a little promise....when I gained my 50lbs. with River, I promised myself that I would be back to "normal" when he was 9 months old...heck, it took me 9 months to get so big, it should take me 9 months to get healthy again...and I promised that I would be healthy and not diet, and be active but not crazy at the gym. I have a triathlon next weekend, and I can now say I am ready. I kept my promise and I feel good. I am thankful I have a husband who supports my efforts and inspires me everyday....he reminds me to put myself first!

And today:

River looks pretty good too! Don't mind the orange nose...he just had some sweet potatoes!

4th of July and Mufasa

We had a good 4th...and actually managed to stay up with the kids til 10:30!! Our friends live off base and had a block party...lots of fun, lots of fireworks! She is a hoot lately! And don't mind my nasally voice...just allergies taking over my life!

And...here is Riv...quite the chatterbox!

P is growing up...

She started a part-day preschool this week...and loves it!!! And, she put on her first temporary tattoo...wants to be just like her Dad! I don't blame her...
