project chick..and my butterfly

I have seen way too much of this fabric lately....BUT

I am finally finished, and it is on it's way to Arkansas!! Bumper and crib skirt: CHECK!

I am recycling old broken craayons plus a few new ones for party favors at the kids birthday party at the end on September, and I am a little obsessed. Doesn't this one look like the earth...cheap thrills, I know!

I just love all the colors...

I think a big batch of them in a pretty ceramic bowl would be just lovely!

Oh, and I almost forgot my little butterfly! She inherited these wings as of late and loves them so much. She just flaps and flaps all around the house. It is nice because she will usually make the accompanied noise of whatever animal/creature she pretends to be...and guess what? Butterflies are SILENT!!!! woo hoo!

my space

So, I needed to get organized in my sewing space...it was just crazy! And I have been working on this project for a while that requires a lot of space...I am sewing a crib bumper and matching crib skirt to go with this quilt I made a while back for a customer in Arkansas....so what better a time than now to do it.
Here I am with the 40 sash ties for the crib bumper...that's right, 40! 40 things I had to cut out, sew together, turn right side out, press and sew in...never again!

It is almost done...

And here is my little dungeon basement sewing space. It isn't bad at all really...it is where the magic happens!

I just love the way fabric looks all stacked up like this...so much nicer to look at :)
