A story about a bee.

I have rescued many bees in my 29 years on this planet.
I love bees.
They have never meant me any harm.
Wasps on the other hand,
I hate wasps.
They are evil.

So, we were out enjoying the pool Thursday night
when a helpless bee was in danger right next to the kids.
I scooped it up to toss it out of the pool
and it stung me without hesitation.
And it hurt so stinking bad!

Whatever, overly aggressive Texan bee!!
Humph!

When I woke up Friday morning, I was in bad shape....
and this morning I knew I had a problem.

So off to the ER I went.
My bee sting was out of control and most likely infected.
Dirty bee!

I now am on antibiotics/claratin/benedryl/motrin
all for a silly bee sting.

Apparently I will have to watch bees drown from here on out.

Bad hand, fat knuckle
Good hand

Bad hand: Ewww

Good hand
Bad hand
Good hand

Oh, and 4 years ago we were right here in San Antonio...
just steps away from the ER I was sitting in this morning.
Justin had graduated from BMT.
Weird.

How far we have come in the last 4 years!
XOXO
Stay away from the bees people!

  1. That stupid bee! When I was a pool girl I saved many many bees from drowning too! At least that reaction isn't on your face.
